These are the smoothest and best needles. They don't fray your threads at all. Love them!
on 06/18/2018 - Favorite needles
I love these petite needles as I tend to work fairly close to the thread ends and with these, I dont have to keep using my needle threader. If you stitch like I do, I think youll find these less frustrating to use than longer needles.

I love them! They are easier to finish your short threads and they dont make your threads fray like certain other brands do!

Absolutely in love with these needles. So smooth and nice to stitch with. Very easy to thread with no shredding. I will probably stop using the others because they seem so long and awkward now
on 11/22/2017 - John James size 26 Tapestry Petite needles
These things are half the length of regular needles. It took me some getting use to, but I now love them. The needle threader worked in each eye, and have had no problems with the floss shredding.
So easy to thread!

These are super smooth and save on thread use.

I wasn't sure how I'd like the needles, I love them and can use a bit more floss. Smooth to the fabric. Does take a bit of getting used to for threading
on 12/03/2016 - Great
I really like these needles.. They are great for both counted cross stitch and embroidery.
on 11/16/2016 - John James Needles
John James Needles are my favorite. The size 26 are perfect for me when I'm working on my cross stitch - whether I'm using aida or evenweave. I've been using John James Needles for many, many years - even in my doll making. Perfect needles for me!
Great needles first time using the petites and I like them so much better
on 08/11/2016 - My favorites
I love love love these needles! They're so easy to stitch with and result in far less wasted fiber.I wouldn't recommend the gold-plated ones, however, as when I tried them I found the plating being shed as I worked.
on 08/02/2016 - Just 1" in length
I recently purchased these needles after reading the description that they are 1 1/4" in length. They were so short that I measured them, and they are only a smudge over 1". When I returned them, I suggested that 123 correct the listing and I am so happy to see that they did! So all of you who want a really short needle, this is the one for you. John James needles are the best these were just too short for me personally. Thank you 123 Stitch for responding to my suggestion!!
on 08/02/2016 - Only 1" in length
I just wrote the following review, and autocorrect the dreaded autocorrect changed my word "smidge" into smudge. The John James Petite needles are a SMIDGE over 1".
on 07/07/2016 - Best Cross stitch Needles
I love using these needles, small and great when stitching on small count fabric!
on 06/06/2016 - My number 1 choice of needle
These petite needles are AWESOME. I have tendinitis and arthritis in my hands and have no difficulty... in fact these are easier on my hands than a large bulky needle. No thread waste, you can stitch clear to the end of your floss, and, the eye holds your thread so the needle doesn't slip off. It's the only needle I use!
on 03/11/2016 - Petite Tapestry Needles
Since finding the petite needles I do not use any other type needle for counted cross stitch. I do not use hoop when working the shorter needle works best
on 12/11/2015 - Love these!
My favorite type of tapestry needle!
on 10/06/2015 - good for size
Need a bit longer but am learning sizes - will work well for tight spaces
on 09/23/2015 - Wonderful
These needles are fantastic!!! I bought 2 packs of them. you can use your thread nearly till the end. They are so small. The only reason why I didn.t give 5 stars is they got broken very fast.
on 09/01/2015 - Big fingers, Little needles
I absolutely love the size 26 petites. Little did I think that I would be able to use them, but my wife prodded me to try them and I will never use anything else again!!!
on 08/28/2015 - Tapestry Petites
I love the size of the needles, perfect for working cross stitch. However, the first needle I was using broke. They do not seem very strong! Despite this I would recommend them!
on 07/30/2015 - The best needles
I always buy John James needles. They always have just what I want.
on 04/14/2015 - Best Needles Ever
I am so in love with these needles, if I didnt have these to stitch with I dont know what I would do. I cannot use the standard needles after using these. I like the 28s and the 26s
on 03/11/2015 - LOVE these!
I absolutely love the shorter length of these needles. I definitely waste less floss and find them more comfortable to stitch with in general. I bought six packets in my last order 3 each of size 26 and 28 because after trying them I don't ever want to use a full-length needle again!
on 12/08/2014 - I just LOVE these!
Stitching is faster with less needle to draw through the fabric, and thread goes farther, too. A regular needle feels like a chopstick once you get used to these.
on 08/29/2014 - Small is good
A little to my surprise, working with Petites doesn't increase arthritis or tendonitis pain. Instead, it makes securing ends easier there's less length of needle to pull through, and my hands require a little less motion. I'm sold.
Best needles ever.
on 10/14/2013 - Size is Important
I bought these at a Cross Stitch retreat and absolutley love them. My thumb is beginning to show off with arthritis and the smaller needles work better and make the process easier. HIGHLY recommended. They DO get lost like the old needles, though, and I keep loaning them to people to try.
on 09/23/2013 - LOVE these needles
These are the only needles I ever use. They are just the right size for all my cross stitching needs.
